The SSE membership payment system defaults to recurring payments. 

If you do not want recurring payments, you can change your preferences in your PROFILE and turn them off after you make your initial credit card payment. 

The option to Stop Recurring Payments will not be available if you haven’t paid by credit card.

To stop automatic renewal payments:

Click on your name to open your Profile

Click on the Invoices and payments tab

Click the Stop recurring payments button beside the membership renewal transaction.

If you do turn them off, you’ll get an email 2 weeks before renewal asking you to renew.
